5 Things to try in 2016

Things to Try in 2016:

1. Read a book before bed

This is a great ritual to try. It helps you relax before bed and will lead to better sleep. Plus, you will become more intelligent from reading and will be less dependent on technology before bed (which is not a good habit because it leads to worse sleep and more stress)


2. Quit social media


There are studies that say that quitting social media will make you happier and less stressed. Using social media can make you depressed, addicted to technology, form bad habits, and have a low self-esteem because of comparing yourself to other people online. It can also affect relationships around you if you don't use it carefully.


This is hard to do, but might be worth a try. Who knows, maybe you will discover a new life you will like better!




3. Journaling


Studies show that there are many benefits to journaling. It can make you less stressed and can be therapeutic. Plus, won't it be fun to look at your past self and read about all of your experiences in the future?


4. Meditation


Meditation has been proven to lower stress levels, be more present in the moment, and overall make you happier. It also can give you a different perspective on life.


Meditation is a good one to try if you are looking for spicing up your life or if you are curious to see if it will affect your life.




5. Going to bed earlier


Odds are, many of us are sleep-deprived and go to bed too late. Going to sleep earlier helps to remedy that and may have a positive impact on your life.
